grateful and busy

Yes, I am still alive-lol. I am going to admit this because we are keeping things real here. I am slightly overbooked at the moment and I am trying to free up my time a little more so that I can actually have time to get on here and post (among other things lol). While many clients are waiting for gorgeous spring to roll in, I am helping my other clients-my design clients. Right now and over the last month, have taken on more than I thought I could handle at once. So while this post might seem meaningless to anyone else, it is for me to remind myself to slow down and give myself a little more time. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE being busy and I am super grateful for all of my clients-photography ones and design ones. I am extremely blessed. I just want to put it out there to remind myself-to embrace the wait list instead of trying to get everything done at once. Ok, I feel better;)

365 Day 37 | Utah Photographer

Ok, this little guy right here is my 2 year old. So sweet and so much trouble. Turn around for 1 minute (literally) and he will get into anything and everything. Toothpaste is a daily temptation for him. When he is fast enough, he loooves to put it everywhere! Good thing he is so darn cute!

365 Day 30 | Utah Photographer

I had a little fun yesterday taking some photos of my little girl while she was playing and I just fell in love with this shot. I love watching her learn and just take everything in. Those small moments slip away too fast.

Jessica Swatts - Oh, this is just lovely! I like the tilt, it places the door frame in a very interesting compisition. =)

Shell - She is so pretty! Love the rustic barn door!

Rachel Nielsen - Thank you both!

365 Day 24 | Utah Photographer

Wow, I am little behind. I have been super busy with design work and blogsite makeovers. I absolutely love it, but I guess I need to start planning my time out a little better so that I remember to get my blog posts up lol!

This one is already a fav. It may not be perfect but I love seeing all 5 of my kids hanging out together. I know that seeing them all together just like this won’t last for very long. Sigh…

52 Week 3 | Utah Photographer

This week’s theme is ‘sliver of focus’. I love shooting with a macro lens to get a very shallow depth of field. I do have to admit that it isn’t my favorite lens though, because I find that the auto focus is pretty slow. I tend to use manual focus most of the time with the 100mm macro and I love the results! Definitely worth the little extra time it takes to get it right. ; )

Tessa - Wow! That is an amazing shot…gorgeous! I am hoping to get a macro lens someday. My 70-200 is wonderful for portraits but it will not let me get very close for shots like these.

Regina - I’m using macro 100mm as well for this week project. I love the lens but wishing I bought the IS version :)

Yvonne - Love this! The colors are so pretty!

Liddell McNie - Just gorgeous – the colours really pop!

Rachel Nielsen - Thank you all so much!

Wordless Wednesday and 365 Day 18

something about me and 365 | day 17

Alright, so getting back to my regular blog posting… Tuesdays are for something about me.

I am a couponer-or at least I try to be when I can. This is something I started doing last June and wish I would have started earlier! For years, I thought clipping coupons was crazy and not worth it at all. After giving it a try, it didn’t take long to discover how much money you really can save. And who doesn’t like having a little extra around for something fun? (H&M anyone?) Now I have to admit that while I can’t do it 100% of the time, I really do enjoy it. Finding a great deal is an awesome feeling and it is an even better feeling walking out of the store!! (and yes, I have laundry detergent for at least another year or so-these are just a few bottles from my stash!)
